In the Picture, le Grá

In the Picture is a dementia-friendly gallery programme at Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre offering guided art exhibition tours tailored for individuals living with dementia along with their families, friends and professional carers. The programme encourages participants to engage with the artwork through observation, description, and meaningful connections.
Developed and facilitated by artist Toma McCullim and health professional Sarah Cairns, In the Picture, le Grá is thoughtfully designed for small groups, providing a comfortable and unhurried experience. Participants are given time to explore the space and artwork at their own pace, with light refreshments included to support a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. This year Toma and Sarah will also be working in collaboration with Salt & Pepper to explore how we might build a more dementia-friendly community through art, connection and shared care.
