Autumn Creative Carers Series

A new series of Creative Carers with Sarah Ruttle is starting this autumn!

Taking place in Skibbereen Community and Family Resource Centre, family carers are invited to join a series of 6 warm and welcoming art making workshops. The workshops offer a space to rest and recharge, and are open to people with any level of artistic experience. No previous knowledge necessary!

The workshops will take place on Tuesday mornings from 10.30am – 12.30pm on the following dates:

  • 16 September 2025
  • 23 September 2025
  • 30 September 2025
  • 7 October 2025
  • 14 October 2025
  • 21 October 2025

The sessions are facilitated by visual artist Sarah Ruttle. Sarah has worked as part of the Arts for Health team for over 15 years. Her work concentrates on capturing unique moments of humanity, emotion, courage, and hope, in figurative works which often feature portraiture. Her drawing has an emphasis on creating detail through mark-making, with work also developed in textiles and paper art.
