Members of the Arts for Health Artist Team recently attended a morning of animation training with artist Jane Lee.
Visual artist Anne Harrington Rees and musician Kate Liddell joined Jane for an animation consultation on Thursday 20 November. The workshop focused on learning how to use Stop Motion Studio, an app for tablets. Anne is currently undertaking a project with Arts for Health participants at Dunmanway Day Care Centre centred around the dance halls of West Cork. As part of this work, participants are creating paper maché dancing shoes, which Anne and the group hope to bring to life through animation.
Jane’s workshop took Anne and Kate through this process step-by-step, sharing lots of helpful tips along the way. We look forward to seeing how the artists utilise these new skills as part of the Arts for Health programme in the future!
