Creative Carers Series

Creative Carers is for anyone who looks after a family member in the home or through a care setting. The programme offers weekly or monthly group workshops exploring art or music in a social and relaxed way. Sessions are facilitated by a team of professional artists in an arts or community setting.

Creative Carers in Collaboration with Skibbereen CFRC!

In January 2025, visual artist Sarah Ruttle facilitated a 4 week series of creative workshops at Skibbereen Community & Family Resource Centre. The relaxed sessions offered family carers a chance to meet, chat, and be creative in a warm and welcoming space.

The month of workshops was so popular that Sarah and Gráinne from SCFRC have organised a 6 week series starting this autumn!

Collaborative Quilt

Sharon dipity held monthly Creative Carers workshops in Ballydehob throughout 2023 and 2024. Together they created Collaborative Quilt, a series of works exploring Gelli printing.

Participants applied paint, textures, and stencils to the gelatine plate to allow for the creation of layers of colour and pattern. Through this process, participants created a vast array of beautiful prints.

The final pieces were displayed as part of the 2024 Bealtaine Exhibition at Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre.
