Irish Hospice visit Arts for Health

Wednesday 5 December  the artist team and staff at Uillinn gathered for a Professional Development session with Breffni McGuinness from the Irish Hospice to explore a number of questions relating to working with people at the end of their lives.  How best to communicate ? Where does art come into the conversation? and what role can an artists play?

Artist Tess Leak attended the session, “A thoroughly engaging and heart-warming session. I came away more confident and equipped to be present with people during our sessions when difficult things come up. ” Many thanks, Tess

At the end of the session is was clear everyone felt more equipped, and were supported and inspired with ideas to go forward. Thanks to our guest Breffni, who drove all the way to West Cork from Dublin to share his wealth of knowledge and support.
