We looked at Ordnance Survey maps to see the routes of the various bus journeys made by participants to get to the Day Care Centre. These routes were traced onto a large hospital bed sheet and overlaid with ‘roads’ of coloured felt. Printed buttons and small clay tiles were stitched on to mark homes and sites of importance. Iron-on transfer paper was used to place participants’ stories onto pieces of fabric, which were then fixed onto the map. A large colourful map of the area was the result.
