Arts for Health joins Clonakilty International Guitar Festival

We’re taking part in the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival this year!

Now in its 18th year, and returning from the 15th – 24th September, the festival sees acts from home and abroad gather in Clonakilty for a celebration of the guitar and an exciting two weeks of live music. Ranging from folk to experimental, and with the majority of the shows being free, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Clonakilty International Guitar Festival is an award winning event run by a not-for-profit voluntary organisation of music lovers. We are delighted to have Arts for Health be involved in 2023.

Arts for Health Musician Liz Clark will be performing in Clonakilty Community Hospital as part of a collaboration between Arts for Health and the festival’s Reverb programme.

Organisers say of the project, “Reverb incorporates the educational and community outreach programme that runs parallel with the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival. It ensures that the effects of the festival are experienced by as diverse a selection of our community as possible…We aim to facilitate meaningful artistic participation for a diverse group of people with the ultimate aim of empowering members of the community who are sometimes marginalised.”
